Summary of Hotel G

After landing into San Francisco from a 16 hour all we wanted to do is check-in and relax in some comfort, Hotel G provided us with that. The hotel was easy to find, very accessible from Geary street and clean. The lobby area is small but very efficient, we were checked in and in our room within 5 minutes (and it was a weekend).

We arrived at our room on the 8th floor and were overwhelmed by the size and interior décor of the space. We booked The Greatest King and the name sure does it justice, it’s more like an apartment with a separate lounge/dining area with a leather sofa and a beautiful timber dining table and chairs, full-size mirror, mini bar, Nespresso machines, and enough art for your eyes to keep busy. Leading down the hallway is a keep safe box with storage space and robes. Along from that is where you walk into the master bedroom, huge plush king-size bed with vintage bunker lamps and Victorian-style workspace, large wall-mounted TV and smart voice-activated radio. The bathroom is attached to the master bedroom which has a walk-in shower and organic amenities.

During our stay, we also ate at Ayala Restaurant, located on the ground floor the boutique restaurant that serves up delicious seafood featuring a raw bar, a selection of lightly dressed seafood, as well as creative small plates and takes on classics served in a bright, airy setting. If your feeling thirsty be sure to check out the Benjamin Cooper cocktail bar upstairs, it’s open late and their cocktails are amazing.

The Hotel G is located A block west of Union Square, offers easy access to dozens of shops, restaurants and bars. You can hop on a Powell Street cable car and be in North Beach or the Fisherman’s Wharf waterfront area in about 15 minutes. Catch buses, trains and streetcars along Market St, which is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

If you’re looking for a very central, easy to find, clean, fun hotel then Hotel G is for you.
